6 Steps for Gaining Control in Your Life

Get the Sleep You Need
One of the greatest threats to health in modern society is sleep deprivation. We're so busy with technology or just trying to keep up with our lives that few of us get the deep, restful sleep we need in order for our bodies to carry on the repair work necessary in order to keep us healthy and happy. So getting enough rest on any given night is an absolute necessity for all of us. We also need to eliminate 'sleep stealers' like alcohol, caffeine, or nicotine before bedtime. We need to respect the body's rhythms and find ways to shut down for a day.
Find a Spiritual Path
Some people experience discomfort praying to the God of the religion in which they were raised. If you are one of those individuals, you can benefit by redefining God in any way you like ... as long as your definition of your Higher Power comprises love and compassion. By doing so, you can follow one religion, many religions, or no religion at all, as long as you remain in regular contact with the God of your understanding.
Choose to Do the Right Thing
Every day we are confronted with moral and ethical choices, big and small -- but we have a choice. We can use our life energy or life force to keep secrets ... or we can use it to stay healthy. Maintaining immunity from acts we know are wrong helps protect us against illness and disease. If we think something is wrong, it's almost always best not to do it.
Practice Meditation
We need to meditate because we're always busy in our heads planning, reflecting, worrying, strategizing, or just thinking. Meditation means stilling our thoughts, so we can enjoy the peace of mind that we enjoyed as children. When we meditate, we unchain ourselves from the past and future and instead anchor ourselves firmly in the present. We pass through the gateway of our soul to experience inner peace, a skill that's important when times are good ... and even more vital when times are challenging.
Take a Hike!
The human body was born to move. Our ancestors did not sit in cubicles for 8 to 10 hours a day, hunched over a computer screen. They were running, chasing, farming, hunting, playing, and dancing -- all the things that we have somehow left behind.
The good news is that you don't have to do anything radical to get in shape. Exercise increases your immunity to stress, and after a while, you'll find that the things that used to bother you enormously today (not to mention those extra unwanted pounds) will just slide away.
Step Into the Sunshine
Our parents were right when they told us to go outside and play. Moderate sunshine is essential for good health, and vitamin D is best absorbed naturally. Unless it's blazingly hot and sunny where you are, it's important to get out and be in the sun for at least 20 to 30 minutes a day if you can manage it. If it's not possible to get outdoors, do yourself a favor and take a supplement.

今天的天空藍藍的,天氣涼涼的。早上跟爸吃了頓簡單的早餐。

回家後把衣服洗了晾了,再把該收拾的東西都整頓好了。心情也變得靚靚的。

Well said

Durian the King of Fruit!

I was talking about giving mum a surprise gift in my previous post. Who knows I've got a surprise from mum after work today!

She overheard my phone chat with sis that day which I said for how long I haven't eaten durian and how much I wanted to eat it. :PP

And then she got me this! Yummy! I love durian! Thanks mum & wait I'll surprise you soon! (I hope I do!) ^^

32 before 32

I'm going to be thirty-two in 2 months time but I have never really had any achievement in my entire life.
I'm an average girl living an ordinary life, having a normal job with so-so salary, no husband nor bf, no lovely kids at the age of 32 except having a superb mom, a smart dad, a great brother & an awesome sis plus some sweet friends around & I myself trying to enjoy every single day of my single life.
I always believe you don't necessarily get a partner to do everything still you can have real fun alone. It's just a different kind of enjoyment and yes, sometimes you'd definitely feel lonely especially when you're looking for someone to share that moment. I have no exception since I'm just a girl after all.
No matter how, live life cool!

Here I made myself a 32 before 32 list and let's see how many I can accomplish by 9th Aug. ;-)

I'm getting excited! Hope it lasts! Will update the status by then! ^^
1. Make 3 sets of new outfits (I've been wearing the same old outfits for quite some time)
2. Make a habit of bringing my own water bottle (Hmmm everyone reminds me to drink more...)
3. Create an inspiration board (I need new and more & more inspirations!)
4. Subscribe a magazine (How I wish it's Readers Digest but I'm a poor girl, any sponsor?)
5. Get a good manicure (Haha try to be a true lady for the first time in my life... LOL)
6. Learn how to use sewing machine & make a coin bag ^_* (Got it from my cousin for a year maybe but hasn't touched it until now)
7. Buy a yoga mat and start working out! (More patience is needed!)
8. Compose a lyric (Tried composing a few when I was young but never completed one so hope it works this time round)
9. Redesign my blog (Ee it's a must, nope?)
10. Go for a movie alone (I've been dreaming so for long but need more courage!!!)
11. Be able to sing an entire song without looking at the lyric (Have bad memory in recent years so gotta pick up my old talent)
12. Get 10 favourite items below RM4.90 (Hah I put RM4.90 else I'd pick all from Daiso!)
13. Listen to a lecture on Youtube once a week (Learn something new every week if not everyday!)
14. Buy 2 new books and finish reading them by 9th Aug (Looking forward to reading good books!)
15. Watch 2 old famous movies (Any suggestions? ;-))
16. Make a piece of jewellery (Couldn't remember when was the last time I made myself a bracelet or so)

17. Go up to penang hill at 8am alone (by cable car of course XD Touch of nature!)
18. Buy mum a surprise (Ermm a bit hard to think what to buy & it must be either useful or special hmmm...)
19. Make a jigsaw puzzle (More challenge & patience!)
20. Get a new photo frame and put on fave pic(s) (To make my room & eyes fresher)
21. Pay a visit to Penang museum? (I need company. I'm afraid I might bring a new friend back home wakaka)
22. Make some killer hot wings for mum (She loves KFC & I'll try to make CFK for her XD)
23. Make jelly (Will just get something like ready-made ingredients from supermarket hehe)
24. Go on a food adventure (Try absolute new food, get some new makan experiences)
25. Make soup (The one that mum taught me how to cook last week. Easy & yummy haha)
26. Make soap (Yes, a LUSH soap!!! XD)
27. Make pasta (Wanna eat spaghetti so badly lately! Pity gal. Who wants to volunteer? :()
28. Go to a concert (Wonder if there's any concert in Penang???)
29. Volunteer (What can I do? Kutip sampah at Gurney Drive? Hmm anything la.)
30. Plant sunflower (My fave flower but heard that not easy to plant?)
31. Make mug-muffin (Will show you all how to do if it was successful! I have the recipe!)
32. Lastly, get myself a sweet birthday gift (To reward my hard work & got thru my hard time! XD)

想念那KL的味道

昨天跟senior提起KL,就一直想著那里的板面。那股我最熟悉的KL味道。在那里生活了那么多年,遺憾的是我還是無法完全融入當地的口味。懂得欣賞的來來去去都是那幾道味。

除了這道,也非常喜歡牛奶湯汁的魚肉米粉。我不曉得在檳城能否吃得到,但震撼的是我常吃的那檔Dataran Sunway的奶汁魚肉米粉的老板兼頭手竟然是檳城人。

LUSH

They are lovely, aren't they? I've been seeing LUSH products in various magazines and websites lately and I'm greatly impressed by the creativity of its founder. 

Seems like all girls gone crazy for them including me a new fan here in Malaysia although I haven't had chances to try on them yet. The reviews sound positive though.

Such a cool stuff is just too irresistible for me. Hope we could have it in Southeast Asia soon. If you happen to see the brand somewhere around, don't forget to ring or ping me! ;-)

A good try!

I always like trying new and special or lovely products. ;-)) Spotted this Nescafe Latte and I'm in love! I think it's a bit too sweet nevertheless or else it would be perfect for my standard.


Good bye my dear...

昨早我的手機終告壽終。有點不捨。但現在已經是iPhone的年代了。我這Sony Ericsson也早該退休了。

沒有手機我是絕對可以生存的(已成功生存了兩天)。只是沒有手機鬧鐘的日子卻很難熬。阿德送我那已快十年的大喇叭鬧鐘終於派上用場了。
現在的狀況進退兩難。iPhone對我這不追崇科技的人來說是種奢侈。雖然我還挺喜歡iPhone的function。但我對旅行的價值觀比任何東西來得重要。所以錢還是省下來給旅行用吧。 :P

但我還有什麼手機可以買??? 誰來贊助我? 呵呵。

都是朋友

今天佑志忽然tag了我們這幾位曾經跟他合唱其中一首收錄在他EP內的歌。那天大家都在百忙中趕來錄音,能湊合那麼多大忙人在一起錄這一首大合唱著實不容易。
當天匯集在一起錄音的場景仍歷歷在目但那卻已是多年前的事了。所有美好的事總是值得懷念的。是的,我們曾經都是有著共同愛好及理想的朋友。如今我們也許不再因音樂而聚首,但我依然祝福大家夢想成真。有緣千里來相會。

Mission possible?

基本上,最近沒啥為冰箱添貨。卻老是習慣性地頻密打開冰箱。:P

又吃了Kinder 還有Hershey's,然後喝了Yakult。 再來發現兩盒牛油月尾就逾期了,就到樓下買了Gardenia麵包。吃了六小盒的牛油配六片麵包。現在有點要嘔的感覺。還剩十多小盒。目標是在六月前解決。應該難不倒我這位曾經赫赫大名的‘麵包婆’吧。加油

Nom Nom!

Wow I couldn't believe that I've been neglecting this blog for 10 days already! =_=" Time flies (my famous quote I guess)!

So I decided to write another post to make my blog looks bit more decent. :P I'm kinda crazy for choco bars & snacks recently and here are some that I bought a week ago and it's now left only Mars. Part of the reasons I keep these in my bag is because I'm a big eater & always feel hungry... Anytime, anywhere. I even had Kinder in the car when trapped in the traffic on the way home due to hunger.
I spotted Picnic, Cadbury Boost & etc in Sunshine Square food dept today! Should have bought ishhh (Hungry again...)! Gonna stock up some more yummylicious bars tomorrow! Happy Friday, all! ;)

It's Fly-day!

有點興奮。我最愛的星期五又來啦! Hmm。。。想在美好的星期五晚做些有點小意義的事情。生活煞是不甘寂寞呀! 打了在Langkawi買了很久放在冰箱有很長一段日子的紅酒的主意。也想把置放在冰箱已百年的面膜拿來敷一敷。希望還有效用。@.@

後悔上回沒多買幾瓶紅酒(雖然也百年後開封)。也許該是時候回去探訪Langkawi了嘻嘻。希望不會變成酒鬼就好。Yamseng,諸位! 記得疼自己多一點,今朝有酒今朝醉!XD
